Keeping Up with the 7th graders! Here are the Highlights!
The 7th graders are up to it again! With the new challenges the students are facing, let’s see what’s going through the mind of these 7th graders. The S.T.E.A.M Magnet 7th Graders started the project on September 8th, 2022, and have been busily working ever since. During November, the 7th graders have been working on completing their 3d models, essay drafts, presentation slides, and other parts of the project.
But that’s not all, just recently the teams got tasked with building physical models. From drawing out scaled layouts to building paper boxes, these students have been as busy as bees making sure their project is the best it can be. Let me explain. The physical models are bords that are given to the teams, for them to visualize their city. They paint, build and use their creativity and imagination to build their futuristic city. From solar panels to wind turbines, the cities contain many futuristic technology and solutions for climate change.
But that’s not all, the teams might have started this new challenge but the biggest one waits for them. Presentation. Currently, the presentation date is not set in stone, but the teachers are deciding around sometime in March. Only time will tell what the 7th graders will complete, stay tuned until the next article. Make sure to visit the articles for 6th grade and 8th grade to catch up on the latest news.
