What Are You Thankful For?
Being grateful for the good things in your life should be an everyday thing but there’s one month in particular when we focus on being thankful and grateful in your life. In this article, four students and 1 teacher were interviewed at Dana Middle about what they were thankful for. The people I interviewed had very similar but different answers and responses. Joseph Acosta in 7th grade stated, “I am thankful for my family for always being there for me and never leaving my side.” Mr. Salceda a 7th-grade math teacher at Dana Middle School stated that “I am thankful for the opportunities to teach and coach in the same community that I grew up in.” Marco Juarez in 7th grade the second student I interviewed answered, “I am thankful for always having a roof over my head and always having food brought to the table because of my family.” All of these responses were very similar and have the same idea of being thankful for family and friends. The last 2 people that were interviewed were a 6th grader and an 8th grader. Aurora Garcia the 6th grader stated that “I am grateful for all the good things in my life, I am thankful for all of my friends always being by my side and my family always providing for me.” The last student I interviewed was Lilly Gladich in 8th grade. “ I am thankful for everything like family, friends, and cats.”, is what she answered. Everybody should be thankful for the good things in life. Those 5 people have very similar responses but worded them in their own good special way.
